JOB OPPORTUNITY AS ADVISOR (ENVIRONMENT) WAPDA Lahore (2023)
WAPDA requires the services of a qualified and experienced professional as Advisor (Environment) as per following details:
Post:
ADVISOR (ENVIRONMENT) (01 Position)
Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification: Masters / BS (Hons) Degree in Environmental Sciences from HEC recognized University.
Experience: At least 20 years relevant experience of working on Mega Hydro Power Projects/ Infrastructure, Development Projects International Donor Funded Projects.
Tenure:
The appointment will be on contract basis for a period of 01 year extendable on satisfactory performance of the individual and requirement of the Organization.
Pay Package:
Competitive market based lump sum pay package commensurate with qualification experience of the individual.
Mandate/Charter of Duties:
- To assist the Authority in development of Unified Environmental and Social Policy for the sustainability of WAPDA Projects
- To advise in preparation of standardized templates for Environmental and Social issues of WAPDA Projects
- To develop a strategy for the WAPDA Environment Cell (WEC) regarding implementation of Environmental aspects of WAPDA Projects
- To carry out site visits of WAPDA Projects to align the implementation of Environmental and Social Programs with international good practices
- To assist Authority in implementation of International best practices in Biodiversity and Ecological matters of WAPDA Projects
- Train the Research Staff of WEC according to its specific needs, ie. IEE, EA ESMP, EMP, ESIA, ESG, EHS etc.
- To assist in implementation of ESMP at Tarbela 5th Ext. HPP, construction Phase ESIA, ESMP and RAP
