Job Title:
Senior Cargo Business Analysis Officer
Qatar Airways have embarked on an exciting transformation journey to change how we interact with our customers. As part of this journey, we are now recruiting for the role of Senior Cargo Business Analysis Officer. Based in Miami, and as part of the Cargo leadership team, you will be supervising and actively conducting responses to specific decision-making issues to maximize revenue, CW and gap to market yield. Further, assist in managing and enhancing the majority of the Cargo department’s MIS databases and dashboards based on user requirements in the area.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Manages and maintains complete documentation of all project objectives, milestones and success criteria to ensure smooth and successful implementation of assigned technology and systems related/sales steering projects.
- Understand, captures and communicates project business challenges and requirements.
- Liases with end users to introduce design and specifications of the projects and provide operational input to Doha projects team if and when required.
- Drives HQ projects growth to attain targets set by Doha project team. As a project sponsor for the region, plan training sessions and workshops to increase internal (QR Staff and Service Providers) and external adoption.
- Implement and manage CRM and pricing tools
- Set and manage all rate types including contract and street/tariff rats
- Responsible for further optimization and automation of dashboards/reports using business intelligence systems like Tableau.
- Managing processes for data validation and identifying the lack of consistency involve the right stakeholders in Doha to take action on the root cause.
- Coordinate the dashboard/report framework to timely fulfill stakeholders’ requirements and priorities.
- Develops and maintains the Cargo MIS covering all relevant KPI’s for the Cargo Division within Qatar Airways.
- Improves a set of required standard reports for Cargo Management by using/upgrading existing and supporting the development of new systems and processes.
- Performs analysis of MIS to support all departmental decision-making within the Cargo Division. Ensures on time delivery of reports both on structural and ad hoc reporting.
- Provides support by analyzing data used for the annual budget process. Ensure that the capacity and revenue budget packs are prepared in accordance with requirements and timelines as agreed with the Finance department.
- Ensures the Cargo’s repository of data is managed effectively and that high-quality standards are maintained.
- Participate in projects related to Cargo department
- Perform other department duties related to their position as directed by the Head of Dept.
Qualifications:
About You: The successful candidate will have the following:
- High School qualification/Vocational Qualification/Diploma or Equivalent with a minimum 5 years of job-related experience or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 4 years of job-related experience.
- Business modelling experience and ability.
- High level MS Office proficiency – Excel, Access, PowerPoint
- High level of Business Objects (Tableau) knowledge and proficiency.

- Strong Qualitative and Quantitative Analytical skills
- Time Management
- Working knowledge of English
- Basic knowledge in cargo operations would be an advantage
- Commercial cargo (sales/network planning/pricing) experience would be an advantage
- Experience in preparing for customer meetings
