Selection Criteria:
Qualification: Master in Civil Engineering / BSc / BE Civil Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 08 years of relevant post qualification experience in reputable organization and dealing with public departments. Sound knowledge of FIEDIC is required.
Job Descriptions:
• Implementation and compliance of NLC’s established policies and procedures with respect to Contracts and Claims Management. In case of any deviations, seeking approvals from concerned.
• Negotiating and finalizing Contractual terms and conditions with client, consultant (Engineer) and sub-contractor.
• Identification, evaluation and proposing mitigating measures at Tender stage.
• Interpreting Contractual clauses and advising execution team the Contractual way forward.
• Defending incoming (from Contractors) and enforcing outgoing (to Client / Engineer) Claims in accordance with the terms and conditions of Contract or as directed by superior(s).
• Attending internal and external meetings with PMUs, Client / Engineer and other stakeholders on Contractual matters including Claims.
• Liaison with legal department on need basis for legal matter pertaining to contracts and claims.
• Process cases pertaining to invoking / waiving off penalty on contractor.
• Vetting of invoices submitted by sub-contractors for payments as per Contract.
