Cargo Business Analysis Officer
Qatar Airways have embarked on an exciting transformation journey to change how we interact with our customers. As part of this journey, we are now recruiting for the role of Cargo Business Analysis Officer.
Based in Miami, and as part of the Cargo leadership team, you will be supervising and actively conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis for the Cargo Department, such as ongoing responses to specific decision-making issues. Further managing and enhancing majority of the Cargo department’s MIS databases.
Specific Accountabilities Include:
- Develops and maintains the Cargo MIS covering all relevant KPI’s for the Cargo Division within Qatar Airways. Improves set of required standard Reports for Cargo Management; by using/upgrading existing and supporting the development of new systems and processes.
- Performs analysis of MIS to support all departmental decision-making within the Cargo Division. Ensures on time delivery of reports both on structural and ad hoc reporting.
- Provides support to the annual budgeting process. Ensure that the capacity and revenue budget packs are prepared in accordance with requirements and timeline as agreed with the Finance department.
- Ensures the Cargo’s repository of data is managed effectively and that high-quality standards are maintained at all times.
- Participate in projects related to the cargo department such as:
- Implementation of Centralized BI Unit for Cargo, and the soft launch of Tableau.
- Main interface between Doha projects team to align the regions dashboard requirements
- Set BSA (block space agreement) new procedure with stations.
- Monitor CCA, late spots, EQ and Dead freight to ensure compliance with QR policy and BSA contracts.
- Recommend, implement and effectively control pricing and allotments.
- Implement effective compliance processes and controls.
- Improving procedures and process in Asia with the station and HQ.
- Review procedures with TMO department and control on EQ, dead freight, CCA, spots, late spots.
- Chair the BSA and equalization calls, agenda and minutes.
- Conduct internal reviews and station surveys.
- Conducting communication with customers, sending statement of account on BSA/EQ performance.
- Conducting operational reviews to ensure the stations meet operational requirements.
- Follow up on compliance issues that require investigation. Advising internal management and station on the implementation of compliance procedures.
- Review booking procedures, pricing procedures if mistakes are discovered in analyzing the EQ data.
- Implement pricing and capacity plan to optimize QR revenue and process on compliance checks for all revenue leakage risks.
- Perform other department duties related to your position as directed by the Head of department.

Qualifications
- High School Qualification/ Vocational Qualification/Diploma or Equivalent with minimum 4 years of job-related experience or,
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent with minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
- Basic Knowledge in cargo operations would be advantage.
- Business modelling experience and ability
- High level MS Office proficiency – Excel, Access, PowerPoint
- High level of Business objects knowledge and proficiency.

- Strong Quantitative and Qualitative Analytical skills.
- Time Management
- Fluent in English, reading, writing and speaking.
