Our client, Islamabad based Energy Company in Pakistan seeks to induct qualified and experienced professionals for the position.

Assistant Manager / Senior Officer Financial Planning & Analysis

Key Accountabilities:
Strategic Contribution:
- Assist in strategizing the corporate performance management plan by forecasting trends.
- Performing adhoc analysis where required to assist in management decision making
Compliance and Control:
- Ensuring PLL’s compliance with established SOPs.
Budget:
- Assist in drafting the sectional budget
Operations:
- Prepare annual financial budget and related profit & loss projections (after input from all concerned departments) for subsequent fiscal year for onward review of Head of Financial Planning and Analysis
- Draft the budgetary variance analysis
- Assist in conduction of benchmark analysis of PLL performance with industry competitors.
- Prepare financial analysis reports, as per requirement of the Company such as cash flow forecasts, pricing and receivable analysis etc. to evaluate possible impacts on PLL of various scenarios.
- Assist in preparation of merger financial model for a 5-year period and submission to external consultants for finalization of merger due diligence report.
- Analyze and project the credit security requirements of PLL in light of upcoming cargoes and strategizing and effectuating ways in which to meet such requirements.
- Provide detailed analysis and commentary on cost center results
- Review operations and recommending new productivity or cost saving initiatives
- Prepare draft of business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
Qualifications:
Minimum: 16 years of Education with Bachelors or Master’s in Finance / Accounting or is an Associate Chartered Accountant / Associate Cost and Management Accountant / Associate Member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
Experience:
Assistant Manager:
Minimum: 7 years of relevant experience in Finance / Financial Planning domain in international, government, semi-government or large commercial organizations of repute.
Senior Officer:
- Minimum: 4 years of relevant experience in Finance / Financial Planning domain in international, government, semi-government or large commercial organizations of repute.
Age:Maximum 40 years on closing date of applications.
Technical Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
