About Department:
Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) is a company setup under section 42 of the companies’ ordinance, 1984 (now companies act, 2017). PIEDMC is an autonomous, not to profit entity owned by the government of Punjab and is run by a Board of Directors (BOD) comprising of private sector industrialists and ex-officio members. PIEDMC has been instrumental in driving the success of industrial development in the province of Punjab. Upon establishment of PIEDMC, Government of the Punjab transferred ownership of Quaid e Azam Industrial Estate, Kot Lakhpat Lahore (565 acres) and Multan Industrial Estate, Multan (1410 acres) which were developed in 1960s and 1970s. These industrial estates were previously managed by Lahore Development Authority and Directorate of Industries, Punjab respectively.
