Private Firm is hiring For the Post of SENIOR LEGAL ADVISOR in QATAR (2023)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all arbitration cases and disputes involving the company.
- Provide expert legal advice to mitigate risks and develop arbitration strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external legal counsel to ensure effective arbitration resolutions.
- Handle a variety of legal cases related to construction projects, such as contracts, disputes, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and claims.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant construction laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Advise the company on legal risks and potential areas for improvement in operations.
- Evaluate the legal implications of proposed contracts and agreements.
- Analyze and interpret complex legal documents and issues.
Job Requirements:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in the Bar.
- Minimum of 15 years of legal experience in construction, with a strong focus on arbitration and dispute resolution.
- Proven track record of successfully handling arbitration cases and legal matters for a major construction company.
- In-depth knowledge of construction law, contract law, and relevant regulations.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with litigation, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution methods.
- Knowledge of the construction industry’s legal landscape and challenges.
