Faculty Title:

Technician (Mechanical)

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the effective and efficient repair, maintenance, and overhauling of all mechanical and plumbing-related equipment to ensure trouble-free operation and to the satisfaction of the users. Further, you are also responsible for competently supervising work orders through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ensuring that the departmental KPIs are maintained with the existing targets. Also, you will be encouraged to promote innovative ideas for energy conservation and cost-effectiveness

Specifically, you will be responsible to:

• troubleshooting, rectifying, and solving the problem by proper utilization of resources like material, tools, and manpower 
• coordinating the planned preventive maintenance activities in his area and equipment for successful maintenance and preparing a list of parts and manpower requirements
• making imminent decisions for the replacement/disposal of equipment and purchasing new equipment in consultation with the Senior Engineer
• inspecting and certifying all the jobs done to ensure that they are done according to specified standards
• preparing and forwarding the equipment parts replacement request to the respective engineer for further processing
• providing training to junior staff to improve their skills and make a proper record of the training
• giving input to the respective Engineer, on the design drawing, prior to approving the Design & Construction department from the Maintenance Division
• any other related task as assigned by the Engineer
• work may involve shift duties as and when required

Requirements:

You must have:

• diploma of Associate Engineering/ Intermediate (Preferable), Matriculation (Minimum)
• 04 to 05 years of work-related experience including 2 to 4 years of supervisory experience Knowledge about the plant Preventive Maintenance System
• ability to read technical manuals, drawings etc.
• ability to diagnose complex repair/maintenance problems and rectify them economically and effectively 
• good technical command of the operation & maintenance of CSSD equipment
• good communication skills in English & Urdu
• supervisory skills
