About the role
Qatar Airways is looking for a candidate who has IT domain architecture, technology and delivery standards to cater to the automation needs of assigned business units. Activities include solution reviews, recommending IT architecture and design standards, mentoring the IT delivery team on IT design and development, evaluating technologies and tools and execution of adoption plans in a time-bound manner, evaluation of 3rd party vendor applications, devices and provide technical expertise, lead a team of technical resources based on assigned work program. This is a highly complex and critical role that governs the development of solution designs for complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed within the QR Group, its partners and vendors. Lead the governance of systems architectures across assigned business units, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers/suppliers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Implementing and managing E-Commerce and Digital solutions for large retail setups
- Experience in cloud ecosystem with ability to integrate heterogeneous clouds solutions
- Expertise data integration, ETL, Apache Nifi, HTML5, CSS 3, React \ Angular \ ionic \ BootStrap, DotNet 6/Core, NodeJS, Micro-services & Containerization, API-Bridge, SQL Server \ Postgres, Devops, CI/CD,
- Expertise in area(s) of, software architecture domain such as data engineering, IT infrastructure, Software development. Should be hands on in Preparing & reviewing technical artefacts
- Ability to articulate end to end business process and map business requirements to technical solutions with a deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Software Quality Assurance processes with ability to generate alternate options to ensure project success
- Experience in conducting market research and vendor/ product evaluation with good understanding of procurement process will be an advantage

Qualifications
About You
- A technocrat with Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent and Minimum 7+ years of experience in implementing and supporting large scale cloud-based solutions for Retail enterprises of which minimum 5+ experience in E-Commerce and Digital Transformation projects.
- Good understanding of Enterprise technical architecture with experience in preparing, reviewing technical artefacts in line with the prescribed standards.
- Must have good analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Ability to integrate third party systems with internal systems and collaborate with internal and external stake holders to ensure project success.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills.
- Minimum 5-6 years as a senior resource managing a team of IT resources.
- Airline or Travel Retail industry experience though not essential would be an added advantage.
