POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage, guide and ensure smooth operations at plant in order to meet production and business needs at required performance levels and at optimized costs.
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
• Ensure the delivery of outstanding service of factory Supply Chain at a minimum cost-to-serve
• Manage, guide and develop the factory supply chain teams to ensure:
• Detailed Production Scheduling is consistently delivering achievable plans for both manufacturing and filling/packaging operations within given Master Production Schedule, whilst minimizing production costs.
• Material Management Planning (Inbound Material Management) makes raw & packaging material available on time and quality at best overall costs for seamless manufacturing
• Material Handling runs warehousing operations for raw & packaging material and for finished goods within company guidelines (Good Warehousing Practices); records accurately the inventory and checks inventory rotation; controls and co-ordinates all documents relevant to receipt and dispatch of goods.
• Ensure smooth operations by effective communication and close collaboration with all internal partners at factory, Supply Chain, Procurement and external partners as Suppliers, Customs and Transport providers.
• Manage and ensure Safety, Health and Environment, Quality at plant operations.
• Communicate effectively downstream needs to instill customer service orientation within plant’s organization.
WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL?
• Relevant and successful operational experience in a supervisory role at market/plant level in at least one of the following areas:
- Production Planning
- Demand & Supply Planning
- Industrial Performance
- Warehousing
• Advantageous to have experience in the management of projects such as High Performance Logistics.
• Has had experience of leading teams and managing factory operations
• The ability to think critically and solve complex problems
• Staying updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging research methodologies
