Job Description:
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Storekeeper will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth functioning of the warehouse and inventory management system. This position involves overseeing the receiving, storage, organization, and distribution of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products. The Storekeeper will be responsible for leading the team, ensuring proper documentation, and collaborating with other departments to optimize store or warehouse operations
1.Team Management:
– Supervise and lead the Assistant Storekeeper / helpers and other warehouse personnel.
– Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
– Provide coaching and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
2. Receiving and Inspection:
– Oversee the receiving process for incoming shipments of materials and products.
– Ensure items are inspected for quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders.
– Address and report any discrepancies or damages promptly.
3. Inventory Management:
– Implement and maintain an efficient inventory management system.
– Monitor stock levels and coordinate with relevant departments to optimize inventory levels.
– Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner.
4. Packaging and Labelling:
– Coordinate with production to prepare packaging materials and labels for production orders.
– Ensure all packaging materials are correctly labelled and stored appropriately.
5. Order Fulfilment:
– Collaborate with production and Logistics departments to fulfil orders accurately and on time.
– Oversee the preparation of outgoing shipments, ensuring correct items are picked and
packed.
6. Safety and Compliance:
– Enforce adherence to safety regulations and best practices within the warehouse.
– Ensure proper handling and storage guidelines are followed for hazardous materials.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
– Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
– Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and store operations.
8. Equipment Maintenance:
– Supervise, maintenance and organization of warehouse equipment and tools.
– Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
9. Sample Shipments management
– Managing and guiding the team for preparing the samples. Samples for the clients and for inhouse sales department
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Proven 2+ years of experience as a Storekeeper or Warehouse Supervisor in a similar manufacturing environment.
- – Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management processes.
- – Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- – Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- – Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- – Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- – Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams.
- – Knowledge of disposable packaging materials and related products is advantageous
