Faculty Title:
Sr. Officer CS Maintenance
Job Purpose:
- To perform Operation & Maintenance of nationwide core network entities (locally onsite and remotely as per requirement) especially from maintenance and performance perspective with end to end responsibility of services availability and network elements / nodes availability.
Job Responsibilities:
- To ensure Core network availability at 99.999%
- Taking preventive & corrective measures to maintain system and services availability through hardware and software operations after abidance to all prevailing processes and SOPs
- To perform all assigned system and services routines and health checks for maintaining systems performance and availability as per defined schedule with detailed analysis, escalations, follow up and remedies whatever applicable
- Resolution of all alarms of all related to hardware, software, transmission (E1s, IP core etc.) within defined SLA and there should be no pending alarms without legitimate reason
- To ensure Customer Complaints are really resolved within TAT and ensuring that all network services are fault-free
- Preparation and implementation of emergency plans. Coordination with vendors for resolution of issues and other requirements
- Monitoring of all assigned core network KPIs and drill down analysis independently wherever applicable
- Troubleshooting and analysis of reported issues and take necessary improvement measures by coordinating with other departments, teams and stake holders
- Keep updated record of Core network inventory including installed, spares (on site and warehouse) and in R&R. With detailed analysis if any board is declared irreparable by supplier during R&R.
- Keep updated record of asset tagging and related stuff
- Keep updated record of DDF and associated peer end/transmission/IP core/third party allocations/positions etc.
- Periodic monthly testing of OMOs trunks as per assigned task
- Perform special network monitoring and troubleshooting tasks as and when assigned
- Perform on site and on call duties and activities as and when required
- Continue to strive to improve technical capability proactively or as per assigned learning tasks
Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):Education:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics/Electrical/Telecom/Computer) or equivalent degree
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

Skills – Job Specific:
- Knowledge of core systems used in mobile telephony including MSC/MGW, STP/DRA, HSS, IMS and EIR etc.
- Knowledge of all major core services and scenarios used in mobile telephony for Calls, SMS and USSD
- Knowledge of signaling protocols, standards and associated flows
- Proficiency in signaling and routing mechanisms at all network levels
- Knowledge of hardware and software of core network platforms
