Senior Software Engineer – Cloud EPM

Job Purpose:

Product Engineering – It is a Software Engineering portfolio under Emirates Group where we are hiring talented software engineers to develop and support a host of software applications that powers the growth of Emirates Airlines and group with business interest spanning from Passenger services, Airport/ground operations, Crew & Network Operations, Air Cargo Sales and operations, Holiday and Leisure products and services at global scale. Software is at the core to support this diverse, large, and complex business operations which are built using latest and modern technology stack including Cloud EPM, TPF/ALCS, ReactJS, AngularJS, NodeJS, Java Microservices, .Net, Python, Oracle, SalesForce, ERP suite etc following the best industry practices including DevSecOps and modern engineering practices.

The Senior Software Engineer – Cloud EPM is a fully participating member of an agile feature team working independently on software development and problem resolution. The role involves technical design, software development, implementation and maintenance software solutions/products that support the Emirates Group Business.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

Work with senior technical engineers in the technical design process by contributing in the analysis of technical application requirements.
Convert technical solutions for small to medium sized initiatives into low level design and working code.
Independently write secure and optimized code through implementation of Emirates Group approved coding standards.
Be part of the rotational on-call support and actively participate in resolving production issues within SLA?s with minimal or no active supervision.
Accountable for built in quality and ensuring 100% unit testing as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
Analyse and fix all identified defects with minimal rework
Ensure re-factoring practices are adequately adopted to ensure minimum code debt.
Ensure logging and monitoring hooks are implemented as part of the code development.
Continuously stay up to date in the relevant technologies and implement the learnings to enhance the code quality.
Adhere to the Emirates Group IT coding standards, guidelines and best practices and contribute to Software Engineering Playbooks and other Standards documents.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

3+ years of experience in Oracle Cloud EPM
Oracle EPM Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Solution – FCCS
Narrative Reporting (Oracle EPM Narrative Reporting – NR)
Oracle EPM Tax Reporting Cloud Solution – TRCS
Master Data Management (MDM)
Oracle EPM cloud Integration
EPM Automate
Experience in Support, Enhancements and new implementation.
Relational databases Oracle, Multi dimensional databases
Application Performance monitoring
Application design using design principles, patterns and best practices.
Finance Domain knowledge, Financial consolidation, Corporate Tax, country-by-country reporting (CbCR) will be added advantage.

Knowledge/Skills:

Design & Develop software in an enterprise environment
Solid understanding of Testing concepts such as unit testing, functional testing and test automation
Resolving a variety of issues using technical expertise
System design tools as well as experience using technologies listed above
Design, Code and Maintain medium to large applications/Modules
Strong Agile Software Development Skills
Strong Systems Analytical and Technical Design skills
