Selection Criteria:
Qualification. Master’s degree in relevant field.
Experience. Preferably Retired Customs Officer from Govt. of Pakistan in Grade-18 OR at least 10 years’ experience of customs clearance in the field of Regional Trade / Transit Trade with Logistics Firm / Organization having understanding of TIR operations.
Job Expectation:
• Manage and supervise a team of customs clearance for exports, imports and transit shipments.
• Knowledge of requirements for unimodal and multimodal operations.
• Ensure compliance with Pakistani customs regulations, laws, and procedures, including those related to import, export, and transit trade. And stay up-to-date with changes in Pakistani customs regulations / procedures, and advise the team / management accordingly.
• Develop and implement and robust modal for TIR cross border customs clearance processes and procedures in accordance with Pakistan and regional customs regulations.
• Understanding of related SROs, PSW and WeBOC modules. Manage relationships with Pakistani customs authorities, including the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Pakistan Customs Department, PRAL, PSW and WeBOC for resolution of any issue.
• Expertise in preparation and submission of customs documentation, including Goods Declaration (GD) with respect to commodity, Import General Manifest (IGM), Export General Manifest (EGM) and Electronic Pre-declaration filing (EPD) for TIR, IRU procedures.
• Analyze and resolve customs-related issues and disputes specially TIR Vehicles.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and freight forwarding, shipping line, port authorities, DPP, Trade finance, Border Terminals (Pakistan & regional) to ensure smooth clearance of shipments.
• Identify / implement cost-saving initiatives and develop budgets for customs clearance operations.
