The Department of Oncology offers comprehensive cancer care services to all patients. The services are provided through multidisciplinary teams. Infrastructure facilities include a daycare setting dedicated to oncology patients. Outpatient facilities include clinics for Medical Oncology, Haematology, Paediatric Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Palliative Care. The Department has 16 full-time faculty with a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research. Residency programmmes are offered in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Clinical Haematology Oncology, and a fellowship programme in Paediatric Oncology.

Senior Instructor – Department of Community Health Sciences
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
- assist in developing and conducting educational and training programs for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students at AKU
- as part of the continuing education program, develop and offer customized short courses
- support ongoing research, and assist in acquiring new grants and proposals
- assist as a resource for senior faculty within and outside the section, students, and trainees
- explore and mobilize national and international funding resources for research under the guidance of senior faculty members.
Requirements:
You should have:
- a minimum of MBBS with FCPS (Community Medicine) or Master’s degree in Epidimiology & Biostatistics, Health Policy Management, Public Health (or equivalent)
- a minimum of two years experience of teaching in a reputable institution with demonstrated scholarship through research and publication
- ability to provide conceptual and technical input to a diverse range of research studies in the department and the institution
- track record of publications
- track record of writing grants and obtaining them will be preferred
- strong interpersonal communication with students and colleagues.
