Job Description:
We are looking for a Linux administrator who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the infrastructure; also, to collaborate with other team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. You will become an integral part of the team, making every problem of the platform a problem of your own, and solving them accordingly.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based computer systems and servers
- Management of user accounts
- Monitoring system performance
- Ensuring the security of systems
- Managing and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure (e.g. LANs, WANs, VPNs)
- Managing backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
- Recommending and implementing hardware and software upgrades to improve system performance and security.
- Management of system updates, patches and upgrades
- Managing and configuring servers, including web, email, and database servers
- Managing and configuring network services such as DNS, DHCP, and NTP
- Managing and configuring storage solutions, such as RAID and LVM
- Managing and configuring virtualization technologies, such as KVM or VMware
- Managing and configuring security solutions, such as firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Automation of repetitive task using scripting languages
- Troubleshoot Linux related issues
- Managing and configuring monitoring tools
- Managing and configuring automation tools
- Managing and configuring load balancer
- Keeping the Linux server, application, and security patches up-to-date.
- Managing and scheduling software upgrades and updates.
- Identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities.
- Writing and maintaining Ansible playbooks and roles
- Managing and configuring Ansible inventory
- Creating and managing Ansible modules
- Automating the deployment of new systems and applications using Ansible
- Using Ansible for continuous integration and delivery
- Using Ansible for incident response and disaster recovery scenarios
- Collaborating with development teams to automate their tasks and workflows
- Creating and maintaining documentation for Ansible playbooks and roles
- Troubleshoot and debug Ansible related issues.
Requirements:
- Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments
- 4 to 5 years of working experience on Linux
- RHCSA Certified
- Knowledge of different virtualization technologies
- Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages
