Job Title:
Senior Consultant – Integrations
Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer IBM servers, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Monitor system performance, conduct tuning, and capacity planning to optimize IBM infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive system documentation and training materials.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate IBM systems with existing infrastructure.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and provide L2/L3 support for IBM middleware products including but not limited to IBM App Connect, IBM APIC, IBM DataPower Gateway, IBM MQ, CP4I, CP4BA, and Jboss.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and support of Red Hat Open Shift, Kubernetes environments.
- Lead the large-scale implementation and delivery of Middleware platform services, predominantly leveraging the IBM Stack.
- Manage SSL certificate keystore/truststore creation and configuration.
- Provide installation, configuration, and support for IBM HTTP Server, Apache HTTPd.
- Utilize scripting skills in bash, shell, or Python for automation and system administration tasks.
- Maintain excellent proficiency in Linux/Unix/Windows administration.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IBM system administration and middleware management.
- Deep expertise in IBM hardware (Power Systems, z Systems) and software (AIX, IBM i, Storage Solutions).
- Proven experience in scripting (Shell, Perl, Python), automation, and configuration management tools.
- Strong understanding of IBM middleware products (e.g., IBM App Connect, APIC, DataPower Gateway) and their configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
- Experience in managing SSL certificates and ensuring secure communication channels.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
- Relevant IBM certifications (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator) preferred.
