Roles & Responsibilities:
Job Purpose & Objectives
To work in a planned way that ensures the proper working condition of machinery at sites and workshop. Maintains and repairs a variety of equipment including diesel engines, hydraulic machinery, pumping equipment, lifting equipment and other related equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Test and prepare incoming and outgoing equipment Follow correct routines as laid down by Senior Mechanic to ensure cost control and high standard of equipment is maintained.
- Maintain machine and equipment history file and housekeeping of mechanical work area.
- Maintaining ordering new Ordering new or finished spare parts, equipment and maintaining the consumption record, forecasting future requirement.
- Able to follow, understand & provide input in hydraulic system diagrams to assembling new drill rigs as designed by KELLER.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Able to repair 4 to 6 cylinder engines, general mechanical works, reading and understanding machine manuals and part books.
- Ensure that work is performed safely and within time limits where breakdowns on site occur.
- Ensure that all information and events on site are logged accurately and handed over to the Foreman.
- Assist the Workshop Manager, Site Supervisor, Foreman and other mechanic technicians in providing suitable solutions to problems/situations faced on site.
- Adapt and ensure the IMS standards, think safe principles and sustainable requirements where applicable
- Ensure compliance and follow the guidelines of Keller Code of Conduct
- Ensure Compliance with Keller corporate HSEQ requirement as well as local branch HSEQ requirements
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Qualification: Technical certificate preferable in Auto Mechanics or high school
- Experience: Previous experience role within a Geotechnical Organization or similar working environment.
- Language: Good command of English language both written and spoken, Urdu or Hindi a good plus.
- Candidates currently based in Saudi or Outside Saudi subject to meeting required skill set
- Minimum Experience : 2 – 5 years
- Industry : Engineering—- Geo Technical / Piling
- Must have experience on Piling / Foundation works
Communication and Relationship
- Internal: Workshop Manager, Project Manager Project engineer Site supervisor, Foreman & Safety Officers
- External: Logistic service provider, Safety & Certification authorities, Spare parts suppliers & other vendors.
Accountability and Dimensions
They shall be accountable to the prevention of injury / ill health of personnel under their control as well as environment protection pertaining to their activities
Authority
They have the authority to stop the work in case of imminent danger to life or Environment. Reward and discipline accordingly.
