Minimum Education and Experience:
ACCA (equivalent to 16 years of education) with two years of relevant experience.
Skills:
- Workable knowledge of IT system and standard MS-office products.
- Ability to write in a clear and concise manner and have excellent communication skills.
- Skills and attribute to identify issues, formulate opinion, make corrections, and recommend solutions.
Job Purpose/Summary:
The Audit Officer will be responsible for strengthening an internal audit function in the University by assisting the Managers in performing audit, preparation of reports and other day to day functions of internal audit.
Responsibilities:
- Assists supervisors, in planning and carrying out internal audits to evaluate compliance with the system of internal controls, assessing the reliability and integrity of information and compliance with the University’s policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
- Ensures audit and review findings, observations and recommendations are discussed with respective supervisors and agree on plan of action for improvement.
- Carries out special assignments, investigations, or reviews with supervisors, that may be requested by the management.
- Review workflows, hand-offs, process steps and existing policies and procedures to identify areas of risk and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Assist in carrying out daily operations.
- Submit findings in written form to supervisor.
- Collect and deliver files from other department when needed.
- Maintain audit working files of department.
- Any other task assigned by supervisor.
