Project Manager (AI Initiatives)

Job Role:

The AI Initiatives Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the implementation of AI projects across the organization. The AI Initiatives Project Manager will work closely with the AI Center of Excellence, and the business stakeholders to define the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. The AI Initiatives Project Manager will also coordinate the project team, monitor the project progress, manage the project risks and issues, and ensure the project quality and alignment with the AI strategy and vision.

Job Description:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of AI projects, from initiation to closure, following the project management best practices and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain the project plan, budget, schedule, and resources, and communicate the project status, milestones, and risks to the project sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the AI Center of Excellence, cyber security, data protection, risk and the business stakeholders to define the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria, and ensure the alignment with the AI strategy and vision.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the project team, including the AI engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and subject matter experts, and ensure the project roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and assigned.
  • Monitor and control the project progress, quality, and performance, and proactively identify and resolve the project issues and risks.
  • Manage the project change requests, dependencies, and assumptions, and ensure the project documentation and artifacts are complete, accurate, and up to-date.
  • Conduct the project reviews, lessons learned, and post-implementation evaluation, and capture the project benefits, outcomes, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the AI project management processes, tools, and standards, and share the project learnings and insights with the AI community of practice.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in AI, data, or technology domains.
  • Professional certification in project management, such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of AI concepts, techniques, and applications, such as machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and conversational AI.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, and ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and customer-focused, and passionate about delivering value and impact through AI.
