Job Description:
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitors and distributes hospital property, household linens, and kitchen supplies in the staff-housing unit before the arrival of an occupant/employee.
- Ensures that an occupant/employee has received, understood, and signed the inventory sheets within (7) seven days of arrival in the staff-housing unit.
- Ensures that an occupant/employee has received, understood, and acknowledged the Staff Housing Policies and Procedures.
- Ensures that the proper displacement forms have been signed by an occupant/employee and approved by the Housing Manager, for the transfer of furniture/equipment.
- Ensures that property tags or inscribed tag numbers are visibly placed on all identifiable property items.
- Assists in monitoring approved property control systems to ensure strict accountability of all Hospital property and equipment.
- Reports to Property Control Supervisor all lost or damaged properties, assists in repair and replacement if necessary.
- Ensures that all new and transferring occupants/employees inventory and files are kept updated.
- Ensures that a maintenance checklist has been made on all vacated units and forwarded to Facility Management and Safety Department.
- Prepares or assists in data input of property control reports.
- Maintains all records for signed staff housing unit inventory sheets, displacement forms, and all items in the housing storage areas.
- Assists the Housing Supervisor in carrying out a periodic inventory of property and equipment.
- Ensures the smooth flow of the exchange of linens.
- Responsible for the safekeeping of keys.
- Coordinates with the Housing Supervisor for arriving employees/occupants to appropriately provide bed linens and welcome/food packs as well as collect door keys before arrival.
- Performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner.
- Performs all other related duties as required or assigned.
Education / Licensure/ Professional Experience:
High School Certificate (Essential)
Minimum of one (1) year working in housing/housekeeping operations or related experience (Desirable).
