Lab Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
Lab Technicians are responsible for receiving, testing, analyzing, recording and reporting results of the tests. The main duties and responsibilities include:
• Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested.
• Collect samples or substances using the correct test necessary.
• Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report.
• Recording tests and analyses and then report.
• Discussing and answering any ques regarding the results.
• Recording all experimental data and test results accurately and in the specified format.
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibrate.
• Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs.
• Organizing and storing all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instruction.
Lab Technician Qualification:
• Degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
• Previous working experience as Lab Technician.
• The applicant for the position should be familiar with conducting analyzes related to wastewater & petroleum oils.
• Working experience operating electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment.
• Comfortable handling potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, hazards, no hazards etc.)
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and database systems.
• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
