Job Description:
Synopsis:
Ensure that all aircraft spares received conform to the appropriate standards of approval as laid down by the EASA/GCAA/FAA/DGCA also in line with the TPM. Ensure that the quantity, quality and storage conditions are acceptable and are within the approved limit with proper traceability of records/documents.
Accountabilities:
- Perform the visual inspection of aircraft engine, APU’s, major engine components as per established procedure and release on time.
- Perform the visual inspection function in conjunction with the Quality Assurance department for update of shelf life, control of Engineering standards, test equipment and stores inspection procedures, as and when required.
- Ensure that the products/materials are in conformance with the specification of the requirement of the company and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure that all appropriate control on material in custody is maintained covering temperature, humidity, light containers and storage conditions as per the manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Maintain and update controls in conjunction with the material planners/QA on shelf life covering records, issuance of expiry, warnings, ensuring scrapping of expendable and recycling as appropriate for rotables trackable seriliased parts.
- Ensure discrepancy reports are raised for incorrect, excess, short supply of parts, etc to all concerned sections and follow-up.
- Ensure that all priority spares are unpacked, cleared and passed to stores for immediate issue.
- Check and verify all materials and stamp the approval on the label as per the company procedures.
- Take part in internal & external audit visit.
- Releasing spares through Oracle CMRO and AMOS MRO.
- Certification of Non-incidence certificate and Etihad Airways Engineering’s certificate of origin.
- Counter update and resetting.
- Monitoring of AOG shipments and inspection of AOG spares.
- Log shift hand-over and update other sections of received AOG spares.
- Certification of sales items.
Education & Experience:
- High school or Technical Diploma
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in inspection of aircraft parts.
- General knowledge of inspection of aircraft parts as per TPM and airworthiness statutory regulations.
- Good standard of English language in written and oral.
- Computer literate.
