The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation “PNSC” Group of companies, as the National Flag Carrier undertakes global shipping operations. PNSC requires high caliber and result oriented professionals for the positions of:

MANAGER (TANKER):

Overall responsible to ensure that all departmental functions as per PNSC’s Internal Control System are properly executed.
Overall in-charge of commercial and cargo operations of own and chartered tankers at Pakistani and foreign ports, ensuring that all pre and follow up requisites are timely completed by concerned for smooth operations.
Ensure that corporation managed and chartered tankers are suitably employed on Commercial ventures.
To charter tankers from the market for COA business as and when required, negotiate and execute charter parties.
Liaise with PSO and refineries falling under COA and ensure that the contracts are executed efficiently and professionally seeking customer satisfaction.
Co-ordinate with relevant departments with a view to harmonize commercial commitments with respect to repairs/dry docking schedules.
Take appropriate measure to ensure high standard of safety on board PNSC managed tankers.
Responsible to ensure that vetting of tankers is timely carried out by oil majors/terminals as and when needed to keep the vessel acceptance to PNSC clients, charterers and terminals.
Analyze vessel performance and voyage results.
Exercise department’s budgetary control and ensure utmost profitability of PNSC’s tanker business.
Explore business opportunities in liquid bulk sector in local, regional and international market.
Ensure the ‘Tanker Data Base’ and ‘Central Invoicing system’ is updated on daily basis and available to other departments in a timely manner.

The Candidate should be:

Master Mariner (FG).
Sailing experience on tankers in senior capacity along with minimum 01 year of shore experience in commercial division of reputable Tanker owning company / Tanker commercial Operators / Tanker Management Company with direct role in tanker chartering.
OR
MBA in Maritime / Logistics / Finance / Marketing / Supply Chain Management from HEC recognized institute.
Minimum 05 years of shore experience in commercial division of reputable Tanker Owning Company / Tanker Commercial Operators / Ship Management Company with direct role in chartering.
Preference will be given to a candidate having additional qualification / experience:
Ship Command Experience.
MICS qualification.
Maximum age limit = 50 Years

Appointment will be on contract, initially for a period of two years extendable with mutual consent. Selected candidates will be offered market-based remuneration package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
