Manager Programs – CICT
The Manager of CICT is a strategic leader responsible for the overall management and growth of the Center for Information and Communication Technology (CICT). This role involves overseeing program development, financial management, staff leadership, stakeholder engagement, and compliance to ensure the CICT thrives in the dynamic information and communication technology landscape.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and articulate a comprehensive strategic vision for the CICT, aligning it with the broader organizational goals and industry trends.
- Define long-term objectives, growth strategies, and action plans for program expansion and excellence.
- Lead the development, continuous improvement, and relevance of training programs and courses, ensuring they remain at the forefront of industry standards and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to design curriculum, learning materials, and hands-on training experiences.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with government agencies, private sector organizations, and industry partners to negotiate customized training agreements, cooperative ventures, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
- Formulate, manage, and monitor the institutes budget, effectively allocating resources to support program delivery, staffing, facilities, equipment, and learning materials.
- Identify and secure additional funding sources, such as grants, sponsorships, and fee-based courses, to ensure the institutes financial sustainability.
- Recruit, hire, train, and provide mentorship to instructors, administrative staff, and support personnel.
- Create a collaborative and growth-oriented culture within the team, fostering continuous learning and professional development.
- Develop and implement targeted marketing and recruitment strategies to attract students to the institutes programs.
- Set, track, and achieve enrolment targets while continuously monitoring program quality, student performance, and effectiveness.
- Establish and uphold rigorous quality standards for training delivery, assessment, and certification.
- Lead the preparation and submission of bids for IT industry tenders, ensuring compliance with submission requirements and deadlines.
- Plan and execute diverse awareness sessions, workshops, and outreach initiatives to promote the institutes offerings and the importance of information and communication technology in various sectors.
- Manage the institutes physical facilities, including classrooms, labs, and equipment, ensuring they are well-maintained and equipped with the latest technology to support training and research activities.
- Foster and nurture strategic partnerships and collaborations with industry associations, leading companies, and professionals to ensure that training programs remain aligned with industry needs, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Ensure that the CICT complies with all relevant regulations, accreditation requirements, and quality standards, maintaining the institutes reputation and credibility.
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the departments programs, utilizing digital marketing, social media, advertising, and community outreach to reach a wide audience.
- Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by Dean SMCS and Head of CICT.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- The incumbent shall have a Master’s degree preferably in Business or a related field from a recognized university/institute. with at least 5 years of work experience preferably in structured CICT.
