Manager New Ventures
Purpose:
Corporate Strategy is the function responsible for strategic decisions to grow and restructure the business, establish strategic partnerships, and achieve organizational excellence.
Within the Corporate Strategy umbrella falls the New Ventures vertical which is responsible for planning, investing, and managing new strategic and non-strategic business opportunities,
to create long term value for KE and its shareholders.
Area of Responsibilities:
• Analyze and appraise all aspects of new partnership opportunities / investment proposals including financial, operational, commercial, legal, corporate governance, and environmental and social sustainability elements; and prepare investment recommendations where appropriate
• Actively participate in the structuring, negotiating and execution of investments / partnerships in a lead or supporting role
• Prepare investment review materials and presentation to board/committee to obtain approval.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with global and local private businesses, banking and multilateral partners to source and develop specific investment opportunities
• Coordinate all funding and investing activities for new projects and oversee execution
• Manage the portfolio of strategic investments and joint ventures
• Develop and train junior members of the New Ventures team
Experience and Education Required:
To be successful in this role you should have a combination of the below knowledge, skills, and experience:
• MBA or equivalent qualification with specialization in finance
• At least 5+ years of working experience in finance with a proven track-record of supporting the origination process, structuring, and closing investments
• Strong financial skills; proven ability to structure a variety of financial instruments (debt and equity)
• Advance Excel (Financial modelling), MS word & PPT skills (IM writing, preparing pitch decks etc.)
• Experience in M&A,PE or Investment Banking is preferred
• Project management skills and demonstrable ability to work with cross-functional teams and develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders
• The ability to oversee multiple simultaneous high-priority projects
• Great analytical skills to simplify and solve complex challenges
