Makeup Artist – Retail Sales

About the role:

As a Make-Up Artist (Senior Sales Assistant) with Qatar Duty Free, you will provide each customer with highly detailed, personalized service to help them meet their beauty goals by consulting with guests and creating custom looks based on individual specifications.

You will demonstrate strong sales and service skills with an eye for detail whilst you give advice on the use of different cosmetics products based on your up-to-date knowledge of the latest makeup and skin trends and brands.

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Delivering a personalised experience with commercial success whilst representing our beauty brands in a professional and hospitable way.
Go above and beyond to create a lasting impression of QDF as a 5 star shopping destination.
Acknowledge, approach and establish customers’ needs by asking open ended questions.
Present, demonstrate, apply and sell the products through their features, advantages and benefits.
Be aware of sales targets and make a continuous effort to achieve those results through driving KPIs.
Introduce customers to other brands or departments after serving their needs, ensuring they leave QDF feeling they have been treated in a friendly and courteous manner.
Ensure that any customer complaints or problems are dealt with properly and professionally, as they arise.
Maximise sales at every available opportunity to generate revenue including add on sales, upselling or substitute selling.

Qualifications:

About you

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

High School Qualification with minimum 3 years of job experience within the beauty sector
Qualified and competent in make up consultation, application and services
Demonstrate a proactive approach to selling
Demonstrate creativity in generating new business in the store
Strong English communication skills – both written and oral
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Brand-specific sales training, merchandising and product knowledge training on an ongoing and continuous basis
High level of integrity
Follow personal hygiene and grooming standards as set out by QDF
Be confident, pleasant and approachable.
