University Of Sindh invited applications for M.Phil/PH.D Students in Jamshoro (Nov-2023)

University of Sindh invites applications for award of MPhil and PhD scholarships from the candidates having domicile of Sindh province (domicile of Thatta Sujjawal will be given preference). These scholarships are part of two marine research projects awarded by Petroleum Marine Development Committee (PMDC) Thatta and PMDC Sujjawal to University of Sindh under the projects given below.

M.PHIL/PH.D. SCHOLARSHIP

Note:

• BS IV-year/M.Sc. second class (45%) in Biology/Biotechnology/Botany / Chemistry/ Environmental Science / Freshwater Biology and Fisheries / Marine Biology / Microbiology/Geology Geography / Zoology / Physics for doing M.Phil.
• Must be registered / enrolled in M.Phil or PhD. in disciplines of Biology / Biotechnology/ Botany/Chemistry / Environmental Science / Freshwater Biology and Fisheries / Marine Biology / Marine Science / Microbiology / Geology / Geography / Zoology for doing M.Phil/Ph.D. in HEC recognized Universities.
• The candidate for M.Phil./Ph.D. will conduct research in marine biology of coastal areas of Thatta and Sujjawal districts only.
• The candidate for M.Phil. / Ph.D. will work under the supervision / co-supervision of qualified faculty of PMDC Thatta and PMDC Sujjawal on research areas of coastal and marine fisheries, resource conservation and development of marine-culture, marine mammals, coral diversity and related fauna, and flora marine turtles, conservations of Pakistan’s cetacean biodiversity, conservation of mangroves, and characterization of sediments in different habitats.
• The application should include a covering letter, CV, and relevant documents i.e. M.Phil or Ph.D. enrolment letter, and research proposal.
