Faculty Title:
- Associate Professor – PNEC (Karachi)
- Qualification/Experience:
- PhD in below mentioned areas from recognized University/Institution.
- 10 years teaching/research experience in a recognized institution/university or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization (at least 4 years experience at Post PhD).
- OR
- 5 years post-PhD teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.
- The applicant must have 10 publications (with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years), in HEC recognized categories “W” Journals
- Discipline:
- Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering and Management / Engineering Management and any other related field.
- Librarian – (Central Library)
- Qualification / Experience:
- MLIS/MS in Library from any HEC recognized university.
- Minimum 5-10 Year’s working experience in Public Libraries.
- Key Responsibilities:
- To work as Focal Person for HEC digital library.
- Liaison with Institution’s libraries regarding HEC digital library, funds issues, budget estimates, approval of books purchase cases etc.
- Facilitate the development and updating of library databases and searching of e-data base.
- Selecting, developing, cataloguing, and classifying library resources.
- Promoting the library’s resources to users.
- Liaison with departmental academic staff, external organizations and suppliers.
- Management of staff including recruitment, training, and/or supervisory duties.
- Arrange appropriate resource material for research, advice and assist in locating the right information.
- Deal official correspondence.
- Answering readers’ inquiries.
- Developing and implementing of latest IT facilities for optimum use of e-resources.
- Supporting independent research and learning.
- Overall supervision of library and staff.
- Handling of Digital Resources knowledge of KOHA Library integrated software knowledge of Ds pace and Caliber software.
- Support Associate (IT) – NLS
- Qualification / Experience:-
- 16 Years MCS/BS in IT / Computer Science or Equivalent from HEC recognized University with minimum 02 years of experience in system & network support and AV issues.
- Key Responsibilities:-
- Provides technical support in the use of computer hardware, software, and specialized technology (Smart Podiums and AV technology etc.).
- Sets up and configures desktop computers, peripherals and accounts assigning security level.
- Installs software, hardware and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses IT related problems, implements corrective action procedures and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate.
- Serves as technical resource to School.
- Maintains, updates or creates web pages using front-end user enhanced web tools within prescribed guidelines.
- Administers user accounts.
- Researches and recommends system equipment upgrades and manages equipment inventory.
- Troubleshoots, repairs and maintenance of computer equipment (e.g. Smart Podiums, Desktop Computers, Laptops. Printers. and Scanners etc.) in Classrooms, Offices and Labs.
- Troubleshoots and resolves the network, hardware and software problems and escalates corrective procedures to other technical resources as appropriate if required.
- Works with hardware vendors to resolve equipment failures/problems.
- May perform routine security checks on the system, install, repair and remove LAN cables.
- Contributes to School goals by accomplishing related duties as required.
