Faculty Title:
Junior Architect
The incubment will work closely with a Senior Architect, the position will require the incumbent to help prepare designs, complete construction documents, write up building plans and assist in the presentation of materials.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Senior Architect with all projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design.
- Take the “brief” to identify stakeholders’ needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals.
- Develop ideas keeping in mind stakeholder’s needs, building’s usage, and environmental impact.
- Produce detailed blueprints and make any necessary corrections.
- Compile project specifications.
- Keep within budgets and timelines.
- Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations.
- Make on site visits to check on project status and report on project.
- Cooperate and liaise with construction professionals.
- Follow architectural trends and advancements.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an HEC recognized institute.
- 1-2 years of experience/apprenticeship with architecture/construction firm with portfolio.
KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit or other relevant software.
- Proven experience in producing construction documents.
- Proficient Microsoft Office, Drafting proposals and reports.
This is a Project based position.
