Australian Centre for International Agriculture Research (ACIAR) invited applications for vacant post (Female Only) in Sargodha (Dec-2023)

ACIAR funded research project (HORT/2020/129) on “Improving smallholder well-being through participation in modern value chains: Sustaining future growth in the Pakistan citrus industry”. It is a collaborative research project of the University of Queensland- Australia, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, University of Sargodha and Punjab Agriculture Department.

Social Mobilizer-One position

Note:

• Salary: Gross Pak Rs. 55,000/- + travel and daily allowance.
• This position is only for female applicants.
• Desirable to hold 16 years of education in any discipline, preferably English for better communication and report writing.
• Desirable to have experience in rural development/community engagement for a minimum of 1 year with International organizations such as FAO, World Bank, ACIAR and CABI
• Be willing to frequently travel to villages (project sites).
• Coordinate and support project teams.
• Willing to be stationed in Sargodha to conduct project activities.
• Perform as focal person for project communication activities.
• Must have some experience to hold meetings via ZOOM, Google meet, or MS Team.
• Must be able to write reports of the activities performed and to share with Australian and Pakistani research teams.
• Be responsible for implementation of project plans at assigned sites.
• Be able to communicate with farmers, market actors and project teams in Pakistan and Australia.
• Initially the appointment will be made for six months and extendable based on the performance till Dec. 2025.
