Faculty Title:
- Advocacy & Communication Officer
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an advocacy and communication strategy to raise awareness about the importance of polio vaccination and essential immunization of children.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify communication gaps and opportunities to improve advocacy and communication efforts related to polio eradication and essential immunization of children.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government officials, health workers, community leaders, and civil society organizations, to build support for polio eradication and essential immunization of children.
- Coordinate with relevant departments and partners to ensure consistency in messaging and activities related to polio eradication and essential immunization of children.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of advocacy and communication activities and provide regular reports to the management team.
- Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards in all advocacy and communication activities.
- Communication Response Officer (CRO)
- Responsibilities:
- Leading and coordinating response to communication-related issues and crises, including developing and implementing crisis communication plans.
- Ensuring effective communication with relevant stakeholders, including the public, government officials, media, and partners.
- Developing and implementing communication surveillance systems to identify and respond to emerging communication issues and trends.
- Developing and maintaining a network for communication reporting and information sharing among relevant stakeholders.
- Proactively identifying and addressing rumours and misinformation related to public health issues and ensuring accurate information is disseminated.
- Providing regular updates and reports on the team’s activities and achievements to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations related to communication and public health.
- Community Communication Officer (CCO)
- Developing and implementing advocacy strategies and plans in collaboration with other
- team members to achieve the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Identifying and engaging with key stakeholders and building strategic partnerships to
advance the organization’s advocacy agenda. - Establishing and maintaining relationships with government officials, civil society
organizations, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure their
support for the organization’s advocacy efforts. - Conducting research and analysis on key policy issues and providing recommendations
for advocacy strategies and tactics. - Developing advocacy materials such as policy briefs, position papers, and other
communication tools to support the organization’s advocacy efforts. - Organizing and participating in advocacy events, such as public hearings, roundtable
discussions, and other forums to engage with stakeholders and promote the EPI & PEI
advocacy agenda. - Collaborating with other team members to develop and implement communication
strategies to raise awareness of the organization’s advocacy issues and achievements. - Monitoring and reporting on the progress of advocacy efforts and the impact of the
organization’s work on policy and decision-making. - Providing support and technical assistance to partners and stakeholders to strengthen
their advocacy capacity and build alliances in support of the organization’s advocacy
agenda.
- Training Facilitator (TF)
- Design and deliver training programs based on the identified needs of the organization or group.
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify the knowledge and skills gaps of the trainees.
- Develop training modules and materials that are interactive, engaging, and effective in meeting the learning objectives of the trainees.
- Facilitate training sessions using appropriate training methodologies and techniques, such as participatory learning, case studies, role-playing, and simulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of training programs, including attendance, evaluations, and feedback.
- Provide technical support to trainees during and after the training program.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the training programs are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Senior Communication Block Officer (SCBO)
- Plan, Organize and facilitate community meetings, focus group discussions, and other participatory activities to involve community members in immunization planning, implementation, and monitoring at Town Level.
- Plan and organize community mobilization activities such as community meetings, doorto-door visits, and community outreach events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including local leaders, health workers, and community-based organizations.
- Develop and disseminate SBCC materials, posters, videos, and social media content, to raise awareness and promote acceptance of immunization.
- Collaborate with other immunization staff and partners to ensure community engagement and SBCC activities are aligned with overall immunization goals and objectives.
- Collect and analyze feedback from community members and stakeholders to inform immunization design and implementation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement and SBCC activities and adjust strategies as needed.
- Prepare regular reports on community engagement and SBCC activities and outcomes for immunization management and donors.
- Participate in training and capacity building activities to improve knowledge and skills related to community mobilization and immunization programs.
- Communication Block Officer (CBO)
- Plan and develop strategies for Engaging community members to increase their knowledge and understanding of immunization programs, promote community trust and participation, and encourage behavior change.
- Responsible to Plan and organize community mobilization activities such as Announcements, community meetings, door-to-door visits, and community outreach events.
- Build and maintain relationship at community level with stakeholders, community notables, Teachers, Health providers, tribal elders, community representatives, social activists etc.
- Work with community members to identify and address barriers to immunization uptake, including misconceptions and misinformation about vaccines.
- Monitor and report on community engagement activities of Community Mobilizers and outcomes to inform program planning and decision-making.
- Identification and involvement of the vulnerable groups and families in the project planning and implementation.
- Facilitate Distribution of IEC material distribution among the communities
- Compilation of accurate data for purpose of Missed children profiling and community insights.
