Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) invites applications for MANAGER (OPERATIONS) in Karachi (Dec-2023)

The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation “PNSC” Group of companies, as the National Flag Carrier undertakes global shipping operations. PNSC requires high caliber and result oriented professionals for the positions of:

MANAGER (OPERATIONS):

Meeting husbandry requirements of tankers/vessels under PNSC agency.
Maintain relationships with customers and ports in greatest advantage of the Corporation.
Monitoring and controlling loading and discharging operations ensuring quick dispatch.
Preparing and drawing up stevedoring, tallying contracts, hiring of surveyors, joint surveys of damages, Fresh water supplies, complying regulatory requirement of port rules and environment policies.
Representing P.N.S.C at KDLB, KPT and PQA as well as OCAC meeting.
Sound knowledge of stevedoring, tallying, survey of damage cargo and claim handling.
Monitoring and Control of expenses in operation department.

The Candidate should be:

Master Mariner (FG).
Sailing experience in senior capacity with minimum 03 years shore experience in senior capacity of Port Captain / Manager (Operations) with reputable ship owning or ship Management Company.
OR
MBA in Maritime / Logistics / Finance / Marketing / Supply Chain Management from HEC recognized institute.
Minimum 07 years shore experience in senior capacity with reputable ship owning or ship Management Company with direct role in ship commercial operations.
Preference will be given to a candidate having additional qualification / experience:
Ship Command Experience.
MICS qualification.
Maximum age limit = 50 Years

Appointment will be on contract, initially for a period of two years extendable with mutual consent. Selected candidates will be offered market-based remuneration package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
