As Head of Sponsorships, you will report into the eCommerce, Digital, Marketing, and Loyalty (EDML) department – a newly formed group under our Commercial and Revenue pillar. With new leadership overseeing EDML, their focus is to grow core revenue and brand experience via consumer channels and supporting internal and external partners such as Corporate Sales and Abu Dhabi Tourism.
As Head of Sponsorships, you will be responsible for driving Etihad’s commercial partnerships and sponsorships strategy across strategic markets, within the Sports, Media and Entertainment
Accountabilities:
- Lead the Sponsorships to team to ensure the successful development of commercial partnerships and sponsorship strategy based on overall airline strategy, markets and Government relationships.
- Negotiate commercial deals between Etihad and partners related to sponsorships ensuring maximization of commercial return and benefits,
- Manage portfolio of existing partnerships including assets and activations related to sponsorships are tracked, maintained, and continuously improved.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders at management level for smooth operations.
- Management of sponsorship budget and fund allocation across commercial division and Government affairs
- To leverage activities across the business fulfilling company wide sales, marketing, and communications objectives
- Define overall theme, activities, exposure, engagement, and targets related to Brand and Marketing, Sales and Guest Engagement at Events and Sponsorship activities where Etihad is a sponsor or partner.
Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in a related discipline.
- An industry leader with 8+ years sponsorships management/leadership experience leading successful, high profile sponsorships agreements with global presence across Sports, Media and/or Entertainment
- Leadership experience in Sports Marketing and Sponsorships is essential, with priority to those in the Soccer/Football industry.
- Extensive contract sponsorship negotiation experience
- Leading sponsorship marketing teams with extensive activation and management.
- Experience with full budget accountability
- Leadership experience of successful Sponsorships teams and third parties.
