About the Role:

Qatar Airways is pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our HR Team. This role will be responsible to design and implement strategic HR initiatives of HR Transformation covering all HR functions, technological HR, systems and processes and HR Analytics. Responsible for driving cross-functional projects including developing strategies and implementing changes across HR. Manage HR digital transformation by applying the best of available technology, streamlining processes and crafting a seamless employee experience. Play a significant role in building a strategic and employee centric HR function in Qatar Airways Group. Responsible to lead the design and implementation of operational HR processes, technologies and strategies primarily for 3 key aspects; HR Systems and Processes, HR Reporting and metrics, HR Risk and Employee Relations and implementing new ways of working using a future focused, pragmatic, data-driven and outcome-based approach. Own and deliver ERP transformation project from HR perspective, champion the transition towards digital and touchless HR operations and services, develop and implement automation initiatives, serve as a strategic partner to the CPO and leadership team in redefining and transforming the HR function to achieve operational excellence, efficiency, agility and strategic alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive a comprehensive HR transformation strategy, encompassing vision, objectives, goals and actionable plans to drive growth, innovation and operational excellence by focusing on seamless and consistent execution of initiatives aligned to the HR Strategy.
  • Develop and deliver ERP implementation plan and be responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, tracking of milestones, flagging risks, mitigation action, business case tracking and capacity overview etc.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive roadmaps and program plans, defining objectives, timelines, budgets, and resources cross-functionally.
  • Foster culture of innovation within HR function, leveraging emerging technologies, best practices and creative solutions to transform processes and delivery value.
  • Own ERP transformation from HR perspective ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, design principles and organisational priorities.
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including CPO, HR leadership and cross-functional departments.
  • Champion transition towards touchless HR by optimising processes and implementing automation solutions.
  • Lead change management efforts ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, new ways of working within HR and across the organisation.
  • Establish, monitor and evaluate performance metrics, KPIs and benchmarks to assess impact, effectiveness and success of initiatives.
  • Deliver a holistic future HR design within the scope and ensure full implementation by connecting all design elements in collaboration with HR transformation and functional leads.
  • Act as a collaborative challenging partner for HR transformation and functional leads to implement ERP as turnkey HR program ensuring interdependencies are considered and aligned between stakeholders.
  • Proactively conduct alignments with key stakeholders and coordinate among them to solve dependencies.
  • Develop and organize digital HR ecosystem to empower people and propel the organization forward.
  • Facilitate HR strategy, scope identification, cross functional design, timeline alignment and drive on-time delivery of committed outcomes and deliverables.
  • Establish trusted relationship with all stakeholders, cultivate collaboration, influence across various levels in the organization and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure a broad level approach to digital HR transformation.
  • Analyse current processes and identify opportunities for automation, standardization and process streamlining across the back-office organization.
  • Serve as ERP Solution Architect, understand current state, define the future state and contribute to define the implementation approach to achieve the project goals.
  • Participate in the ERP partner selection process, define project scope, evaluate proposals and contribute in selecting the best strategic partners for the Project.
  • Promote collaboration, empowerment & professional growth to build high performing & resilient HR function.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, standards, policies and maintaining integrity in operations.
  • Contribute to development & execution of strategic plans, projects and aligning HR efforts with priorities.
  • Contribute in developing the overall Business case for the ERP project and ensure realisation of committed benefits for HR.
  • Own the business process design for HR with strict adherence to the key design principles.
  • Lead data management activities including cleaning, standardising, governing and migrating to new system.
  • Lead training and change management activities for HR ensuring smooth transition to new ways of working.
  • Initiate and lead the design and development of automated consolidated financial reporting from single source of truth along with appropriate insights.
  • Work with the Project Director for ERP in project planning, risks identification and mitigation.
  • Provide guidance and support to ERP functional teams in process design, process improvement, and process management.
  • Continuously assess and improve adoption of ERP best practices through constant collaboration with user community.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our HR Team who can recognize themselves in the points below.

  • Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • 10+ years of experience in leading business transformation and ERP implementation (Oracle/SAP)
  • 5+ years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in leading operational HR
  • 5+ years of aviation industry experience
  • Proven experience in global team management (50+ FTE)
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional process improvement projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in process mapping and process flow analysis tools
  • Excellent project management skills, with certification in Project Management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Oracle and SAP
  • Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
  • Professional Certifications in Oracle and SAP ERP systems preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of SAP S4 Hana/Oracle Fusion Project Execution/management experience will be an added advantage
  • Should preferably have 5+ years directly leading ERP implementation and roll outs
  • Demonstrated experience with project management/Agile delivery/ITIL in a regulated environment with be a plus
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma is desired.
  • Expertise in software delivery best practice and Data and access governance experience is highly beneficial
  • Experience with implementing Dashboards, KPI implementation to report out on support activities preferred
  • Experience in working with multiple vendors to fulfil resourcing needs will be an added advantage
