Ministry Of Planning, Development & Special Initiative, YOUNG DEVELOPMENT FELLOWS (YDF) Trainee Program (2023)
On successful execution of first phase of the programme of the Young development Fellows (YDFs), Planning Commission/Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives is pleased to announce 2nd Batch of YDFS Programme (2nd Phase) under its project titled “Capacity building and institutional strengthening” to groom talented young women and man with distinguished academic background and position for leadership, who will lead Pakistan through the 21st century. YDF will be one-year programme with built-in “stretch / learning assignment” where they will gain valuable job experience. They will be member of a team where they are expected to make significant contribution towards the unit’s work programme while gaining a broad overview of Planning Commission’s policies and functions. YDF is unique opportunity for young people who are highly qualified, motivated in the area relevant to planning commissions work such as:
Faculty/Field:
- Economic/International Economic
- Project Management
- Social Sector
- Project Appraisal
- Energy
- Public Policy and Governance
- Performance Management & Evaluation
- Strategic Planning
- Development Communication
- Infrastructure Development
- Information Technology
- Financial Analysis / Management
- Urban Planning
- Water Management
- Industrial Management
- Agriculture
Eligibility Criteria:
- Between 18-30 years of age.
- Hold Ph.D/Master/professional degree (at least 16 year educational qualification) from a reputable foreign or local university in the fields mentioned above.
- Preferably some relevant professional experience related to development or continued academic study at doctoral level.
- Has not joined the first phase of YDFS programme.
Additional Qualification:
- Display a commitment and passion for national development.
- Possess outstanding academic and / or professional credentials.
- Exhibit excellent team leadership skills.
- Demonstrated passion to learn things beyond the prescribed curriculum.
- Personal and interpersonal communication.
- Involvement and achievement in extra-curriculum activities, creativities and innovation.
- Performance in interviews.
Note:
- The selected YDFs will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 75,000/- all-inclusive for period of one year. on the website link: www.pc.gov.pk / www.njp.gov.pk
