About the job Food Safety Officer (6 months Contract)
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of food production processes, facilities, and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Train and educate employees on food safety and hygiene practices, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food products.
- Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, and non-conformities, and develop corrective and preventive actions to address issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to food safety activities, inspections, and training sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) is required.
- Proven 5 years of experience in a food safety or quality assurance role within the hospitality industry
- Gender preference: Male
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and quality management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and educate employees at all levels.
- Must be on a freelance visa able to do secondment
- Must have a valid QID
- Must be willing to work and stay in Ras Laffan
