What is an Expert UI/UX Researcher?
The Senior UX Researcher Expert role is responsible for conducting UX user-led research, analysis, design, and development of digital journeys across all channels. Focus is on incorporating international UX standards into products and services. The Senior UX Researcher works closely with the Product Design, Marketing, and Brand Strategy departments in validating new concepts and improving on the existing products for the purpose of enhancing the user experience.
The role reports directly to the Head of Customer Experience and is a solo role. There are no people reporting to this role. Proven track record in researching and implementing UX standards and guidelines is a must for the role.
What does a Expert UI/UX Researcher do?
- Define the research objectives and formulate research proposals that are forwarded to the various product departments based on the different departmental needs.
- Design and run usability testing sessions including the ability to undertake, record and analyse research e.g. one-on-one interviews, group interviews /focus groups, surveys, observations, third-party research.
- Analyse and triangulate qualitative and quantitative data to generate strategic and tactical insights along with actionable recommendations that drive product design improvements and innovation that will in turn improve the consumer experience.
- Conduct analysis on the final product, raising the alarms on any overlooked defects relating to the product’s interface or design as well as the solutions to such errors.
- Play a consultancy role in the business by providing various product departments with advise on the best product usability trends, practices, and other consumer experience standards.
- Contribute to design expertise by actively participating in various product discussion sessions with the product designers, developers, managers and other collaborative personnel.
- Understand, shape, design and develop the UX experience across our digital environments, from designing core user journeys to ensuring usability and ease of use.
- Incorporate best practices and standards of accessibility and usability into applications, channels and tools.
- Embed and oversee the implementation of user-centered research principles and processes to inform the development of new products and the continual improvement of existing products.

Requirements:
What are we looking for and what does it require to be an Expert UI/UX Researcher?
- Bachelor’s degree in UX Interface, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Human- Psychology, Computer Science, Computer Interaction, or any other related field.
- Over 8 years in qualitative and quantitative research methods. He must also have vast experience in usability studies, interviewing, ethnographic observation, and video editing.
- UX Certification is a plus. Highly recommended.
- Master degree in UX interface and User design is a plus.
- Proven track record of conducting research and implementation of best practices.
- Demonstrable experience of embedding user-centred design processes and practices.
- Demonstrable experience of the application of user-centred design principles in product design and enhancement.
- Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills.
- Project Management, Business analysis and Presentation skills in order to act as primary responsible person for projects delivery.
- Strong Analytical Skills to breakdown research methodologies and findings.
- Hands-on experience on the latest research tools, applications and methods in the market today.
- Knowledge of Digital Financial Services CX Flows.
- Should be a team player, taking ownership of assigned projects understanding needs and requirements for research projects.
