The role supports university research by aligning faculty areas with industry opportunities, managing compliance with HEC requirements, and facilitating research commercialization. Key duties include event planning, database management, and collaborating on cross-functional projects to enhance research initiatives.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in managing the universitys research portfolio by strategically aligning faculty research areas with industry opportunities and ensuring compliance with HEC scorecard requirements.
- Identify linkages between faculty, business communities, and industries for collaborate on research commercialization efforts.
- Conduct thorough research, analysis, and documentation to promote entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and commercialization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges, devise solutions, and implement effective strategies.
- Provide comprehensive support to the Manager/Assistant Manager(s) of ORIC, encompassing research coordination, follow-up activities, database management for multidisciplinary research initiatives, event planning, record-keeping, and general administration.
- Regularly keep track of national and international calls for proposals (funding opportunities, grants, consultancy opportunities, sponsorships).
- Oversee the planning, execution, and logistical arrangements for panel sessions, workshops, meetings, and other significant internal or external events.
- Contribute to the development of content for social media, reports, and center publications to enhance communication and outreach efforts.
- Execute additional tasks as directed by the Manager/Assistant Manager to ensure the seamless operation of research-related activities.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 14 years of education (minimum Bachelors or Graduation)
- Candidates with prior experience in the university environment will be given priority.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Fresh candidates or with 1 year work experience, and a degree in Humanities/Social Sciences, Economics/Management Sciences/Development Studies.
- The candidate should demonstrate proposal writing and research administration expertise.
- The candidate should demonstrate an understanding of funding opportunities for research in the context of internal and external fundings/grants.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked on research projects in a university environment.
KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES:
- The ideal candidate for this role must possess strong collaborative skills along with strong written, oral communication and presentation skills and is open to learning and taking up new tasks.
