Faculty Title:
Executive – ORIC
The role encompasses acting as a support personnel to all the activities, functions and tasks that the ORIC undertakes.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in managing the research activities of the university through mapping faculty research areas with industry opportunities and support the job of HEC score card.
- Research and seek out funding opportunities including grants, consultancies, and sponsorships.
- Regularly keep track of national and international calls for proposals.
- Assist in developing industrial linkages to commercialize research and bring in consultancy opportunities.
- Assist in managing overall grant efforts, from co-writing of grant proposal, documenting payments and expenditure, preparing progress reports, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, reviewing grant proposals, managing grant databases, engaging with donor agencies and preparing financial reports.
- Assist in liaising on behalf of the ORIC with multiple departments (Finance, Procurement, HR, IT etc.) to process requests and payments, and to resolve pressing concerns in time for meeting deadlines.
- Support Manager/Assistant Manager(s) ORIC, with tasks related to research work, follow-up, listing, maintaining databases of multidisciplinary research initiatives, event planning, record keeping, general administration and coordination.
- Provide planning, execution and logistical support for panel sessions, workshops, meetings and any other internal or external events.
- Support the development of content for social media posts, reports, and center publications.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Manager/Assistant Manager.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIE NCE:
- The incumbent shall have at least bachelor’s degree from an HEC recognized university/institute.
- Candidates with masters degree will be preferred.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably in proposal/grant writing and/or similar capacity.
- The candidate should demonstrate an understanding of funding opportunities for research in the context of internal and external fundings/grant, preferably.
