It was in 1955 the Institute of Public and Business Administration (IPBA) was established, making it one of the oldest business school outside North America. Initial technical support was provided by the world famous Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania. Soon after the University of Southern California set up various facilities at the Institute and several prominent American professors were assigned to the IBA. The course contents, the curriculum, the pedagogical tools and the assessment and testing methods were developed under the guidance of reputed scholars from these two institutions. IBA has zealously guarded the high standards and academic traditions it had inherited from Wharton and USC while adapting and adjusting them with the passage of time.

Executive Boys Hostel (Night Shift)
Overall, the night executive plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly environment within the hostel during nighttime hours. They must be vigilant, responsive, and able to handle a variety of situations calmly and effectively as per hostel rules.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To enforce the hostels rules and regulations, including policies regarding noise, visitors, curfews, and other aspects of resident conduct etc.
- To ensure the safety and security of the hostel and its residents during the night. This involves patrolling the premises along with the security team, checking for any signs of unauthorized entry and illegal activities.
- In the event of an emergency such as a fire, medical issue, or security breach, the night executive must be prepared to take swift and appropriate action. This may involve alerting emergency services, evacuating residents, administering first aid, arranging ambulances for hospitalization to the residents /staff if required and implementing emergency procedures as outlined by the hostels policies.
- To maintain a quiet and peaceful environment for the comfort and well-being of residents during the night when people are sleeping. To intervene if there are disturbances such as loud music, parties, or arguments, and ensure that silent hours are observed as per hostel’s rules.
- To ensure that all facilities, common rooms, gym, game room, laundry rooms, dining hall, mess kitchen and gates are locked/unlocked in accordance with agreed schedules.
- To conduct routine checks of the hostel premises to identify and report any maintenance issues or hazards, as well as ensuring that communal areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Coordination with all other stakeholders of night shift like security, electric supporting staff, housekeeping staff, and ambulance drivers.
- To maintain effective communication with other staff members, including providing updates on any incidents or concerns that arise during the night and coordinating with daytime staff to ensure continuity of care and support for residents.
- To Keep accurate records of any incidents, disturbances, or notable occurrences that occur during the night for accountability and future reference. This may include writing incident reports, logging maintenance requests, or documenting interactions with residents.
- Other duties will be assigned when and where required according to the institute’s rules.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- The incumbent should have at least a Bachelors degree from an HEC recognized University/Institution. With at least 2-3 years of experience in relevant field or hospitality management preferably.
KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES:
- The incumbent should be motivated, serious, and possess good people skills.
- Basic knowledge of the MS Office
- Good Communication & Admimnistrative Skills
