Job Description:
Roles & Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for transforming architectural/design concepts into precise design details, creating sketches and model drawings, and contributing to the development of construction documents
Design Concept Translation:
- Collaborate with the Architect to translate design concepts into detailed design plans and drawings that to be used for construction.
- Create sketches and model drawings of structures to convey design ideas and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Develop architectural and engineering drawings in consultation with the Architect, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Develop detailed architectural and structural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, that conform to industry standards and project specifications.
- Create detailed shop drawings that provide instructions for the fabrication and assembly of building components, ensuring they meet design specifications.
- Maintain accurate as-built drawings to record any modifications or changes made during construction.
Technical Documentation:
- Verify and implement site measurements into the drafts, ensuring that they align with project requirements and accurately represent the site conditions.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering documentation, collaborating with engineers and other team members to integrate technical specifications into the drawings.
- Prepare technical documentation to support the construction process.
- Prepare log sheets of all drawings.

Quality Assurance:
- Review drawings for accuracy and completeness, making revisions as necessary to maintain high-quality standards.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, construction methods, and building codes to ensure compliance and innovation in designs
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the Architecture Team and other team members to when addressing concerns or related matters regarding design ideas, address technical challenges, and contribute to the overall success of the project.
- Work collaboratively with Project Teams to in regards to matters related to design direction and conceptualization, offering your expertise in translating ideas into actionable design plans.
- Collaborate with engineers to incorporate structural, mechanical, and electrical specifications into the design and ensure seamless integration.
- Collaborate with other related departments to ensure seamless production of drawings, as necessary.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Diploma of Architecture or equivalent from a reputed Institution
- Computer Aided Design Course Certificate
- At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar role as a Draftsman.
- Proven experience in the construction industry, with a portfolio showcasing completed works
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and highly detailed drawings.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Ability to work long hours during urgent work situation.
