Digital Account Specialist

About the role:

The successful candidate will manage and monitor the web content among the diverse group of brands of the Emirates Group into ensure the technical processes are implemented and the solutions are delivered in accordance with best practice website management. 

What you will do:

  • Brand Management 
    Working closely with the Digital Quality Assurance Specialists to ensure web content and digital solutions are on-brand. Facilitate digital solutions that are integrated, cost-efficient and aligned with the objectives and plans of the department’s business clients. This involves the management of websites, microsites, emails and all in house digital development and production.
  • Corporate Identity
    Research and recommend changes for input into the brand and content guidelines which cover all elements of the Emirates website update process. Responsible for the dissemination of these digital brand and content guidelines to the Digital Services team and ensure each member understands and adheres to the guidelines. Identify knowledge gaps and address with the relevant Digital Quality Assurance Specialist or Digital Content Executives where appropriate.
  • Integrated Communications
    To work closely with the Digital Communications Unit to ensure synergy and consistency of Emirates Group image and content across all digital communication platforms. To encourage the integration of advertising campaigns across client brands to enhance the impact, cohesion and cost-effectiveness of communication. To particularly work closely with Digital Account Managers to ensure, Sponsorship, Events, Public Relations and Advertising opportunities are maximised online.
  • Online champion
    Design and deliver specialist training requirements (eg. Tridion) within the Digital Services team, EGIT and Digital Communications team. Develop an on-going training programme for relevant stakeholders, to contribute to the increase in internet knowledge and confidence with management of digital activities throughout the department.
  • Project Management
    Produce all Idiom Worldserver translation reports, SDL Tridion publishing performance reports on a monthly basis for each publication. Develop and monitor content input briefs, ensuring that both the Digital Content Unit and Advertising teams increase the level of accuracy and completeness before accepting the brief and agreeing to the timeline. Ensure that the relevant Quality Assurance and Content team members complete the required KPI stats sheet on a regular basis. Benchmark each language KPI in terms of accuracy and response times in collaboration with the Digital Account Manager. Ensure that turnaround times are communicated, agreed and are adhered to by the Digital Service teams.
  • Quality Control
    Ensure the Digital Services Team maintains its service level agreement (SLA) with the Digital Communications team for delivery of all work. Ensure that the systems and software used to monitor the team KPIs are maintained, providing Digital Account Managers with all KPI data for their reports. Be the primary point of contact for technical or process queries from the Quality Assurance and Content teams and identify gaps on an ongoing basis, developing specific training modules as required. Liaise with relevant EGIT Tridion support ensuring that the performance of Tridion content database and publishing queue is monitored, escalating any issues to Digital Account Managers as soon as they occur.
  • People Management
    Manage and monitor performance of the Digital Quality Assurance team and provide content and technical approvals when and where required Working with Digital Account managers on staff planning for and liaising with EK Recruitment when recruiting for new Digital Services Team staff.
  • Cost control
    Review the cost efficiency of all webs content update processes within the Digital Services team, to ensure savings are made wherever possible and make recommendations to the Digital Account Manager.
  • System Review
    Review all relevant tools (SDL Tridion, Worldserver) to ensure the appropriate version is used and contribute to the Digital Account Managers planning for updates or future releases.

Qualifications & Experience:

This job might be for you if you have:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience in Digital Communications.

You’ll have an edge if you have:

  • Knowledge of SDL Tridion Content Management system, or other Content Management Systems would be a distinct advantage.
  • Expertise in production of quality Online development, understanding of different programming languages and how they affect web build as well as the user experience, experience of content management systems and campaign tools.
