The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation “PNSC” Group of companies, as the National Flag Carrier undertakes global shipping operations. PNSC requires high caliber and result oriented professionals for the positions of:

DEPUTY MANAGER (TANKER):

Prepare, update and maintain vessels schedule.
Assist in monthly voyage planning and scheduling of in house and chartered tankers.
Prepare Charter Party comments and assist Manager (Tanker) in Pre-Fixture.
Ensure immediate employment of own tankers.
Look after post fixture/operations of owned and chartered tankers.
Attend monthly Refineries/PNSC Coordination meetings at OCAC office.
Keep close watch on chartered tankers performance.
Calculate and assist in lodging claims of own vessels against PNSC clients and third parties.
Monitor communication/emails and respond to parties accordingly.
Appoint cargo surveyors at local and foreign ports.
Prepare reply to all audit queries.
Settle various demurrage claims of foreign tankers with the involvement of P&I, Lawyers and closely coordinate with owners for commercial settlement.
Assist in handling urgencies/emergencies of owned and foreign flag tankers at Pakistani and foreign ports.
Negotiate and settle demurrage claims of Refineries.
Prepare off hire claims of foreign flag vessels.

The Candidate should be:

Master Mariner (FG) with sailing experience on tankers in senior capacity preferably with 2 years of shore experience in commercial division of reputable tanker owning company / tanker commercial operators / tanker management preferably tanker chartering.
OR
MBA in Maritime Studies/Logistics/Finance/Marketing from HEC recognized institute.
Minimum 05 years of shore experience in commercial division of reputable ship owning company / tanker commercial operators / ship management preferably tanker chartering.
Preference will be given to a candidate having additional qualification / experience:
Ship Command Experience.
MICS qualification.
Maximum age limit = 45 Years

Appointment will be on contract, initially for a period of two years extendable with mutual consent. Selected candidates will be offered market-based remuneration package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
