Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) looking for for DEPUTY MANAGER (NVOCC/SLOT) in Karachi (Dec-2023)

The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation “PNSC” Group of companies, as the National Flag Carrier undertakes global shipping operations. PNSC requires high caliber and result oriented professionals for the positions of:

DEPUTY MANAGER (NVOCC/SLOT):

Thorough understanding of freight forwarding / NVOCC/ Break bulk contracts.
Management of trade routes, agents, maximize lifting’s with the right pricing strategies.
Knowledge of cargo cycle, seasonal effects and trends in order to secure competitive freight solution.
Checking and accepting of Vessel Nominations.
Understanding of full set of Shipping Documents (Import / Export & Transshipment) including D/O, Invoices, Letter of Credit, cargo claims, cross-bookings, container detention, handling DG cargo , DECK stowage , Switch BL, cargo claims &HS codes requirements.
Establish and maintain customer relationships with key accounts and key stakeholders to grow revenue.
Liaise and handle full process of Containerized & Break bulk shipments and resolves issues related to the execution of the shipment.
Supervise, guide and develop a team of trade executives and assistant managers.
Preparation of budget & management presentations.

The Candidate should be:

Bachelors’ Degree in any discipline from HEC recognized institution.
Minimum 05 years working experience in Sales / Operations / Documentation in the field of Freight Forwarding, Console, NVOCC and import / export documentations with NVOCC / Freight Forwarding companies / shipping lines.
Sound Knowledge of Port / Terminals / CFS and Customs clearance will be preferred.
Maximum age limit = 45 Years

Appointment will be on contract, initially for a period of two years extendable with mutual consent. Selected candidates will be offered market-based remuneration package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
