The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation “PNSC” Group of companies, as the National Flag Carrier undertakes global shipping operations. PNSC requires high caliber and result oriented professionals for the positions of:

DEPUTY MANAGER (CHARTERING):

Pre-fixture activities, chartering of Vessels on voyage and time charter basis (scanning of market for availability of vessels, Freight negotiations, finalization of charter Party terms and conditions etc) and workout freight rates and offer after obtaining approval of Authorities.
Post-fixture related activities, including but not limited to coordination with vessels, Principals and
Agents and also liaising with the inter-company departments, Bunkering, Voyage instructions, coordinating with agents / owners for smooth voyage and quick turnaround of vessel.
Putting up all Chartering requirement and necessary support data to Chartering Committee through appropriate administrative Chain.
Provide timely and correct input to Commercial Department for preparation of Annual Capital and Revenue Budgets including any revisions thereof, and information in respect of actual and variances.
Assist & liaise with I & C Department to enable them to notify insurers / P&I club regarding cargo shortage / damages, freight, demurrage related disputes, accident, pollution incidents, threat of arrest and other club covered matters falling under jurisdiction of Chartering department.
Provide timely and correct input to Commercial Division for preparation of Annual business plan.
Handling Demurrage / Dispatch / Detention Calculations and preparation of invoices.
Check port disbursement accounts and exercise cost control.
Ensure proper execution of Voyage.

The Candidate should be:

Master Mariner (FG) with sailing experience in senior capacity preferably with 2 years of shore experience in commercial division of reputable ship owning company / dry bulk commercial operators / dry bulk management preferably dry bulk and break bulk chartering.
OR
MBA in Maritime Studies/Logistics/Finance/ Marketing from HEC recognized institute.
Minimum 05 years of shore experience in commercial division of reputable ship owning company / dry bulk commercial operators / ship management preferably dry bulk and break bulk chartering.
Preference will be given to a candidate having additional qualification / experience:
Ship Command Experience.
MICS qualification.
Maximum age limit = 45 Years

Appointment will be on contract, initially for a period of two years extendable with mutual consent. Selected candidates will be offered market-based remuneration package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
