Position Summary:

As the Demand and Supply Planner, you will play an important part role in ensuring strong forecast accuracy to enable best-in-class customer service levels, optimized stock levels, and delivery of products on-time and in-full, while minimizing non-quality costs within Nespresso.
A Day in the Life…
- Analyze and evaluate the supply plan and net dispatch requirements to satisfy customer needs considering the network complexity.
- Communicate weekly stock alert (Low stock & Stock out) to local departments.
- Manage operational issues with Suppliers (late, capacity, on time delivery).
- Manage all specific extra-ordinary requests/demands from customers (internal and external), support business case data for decision making.
- Balance the need for product availability versus the need to minimize costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location.
- Collect and integrate information and assumptions about events, activities in relation to promotions, product launches, customer/distribution changes that form important part of demand plan.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive effective MBP processes to reach consensus demand plan. and maintains the dynamic forecast for his/her category.
- Work closely with Commercial Teams (marketing, CRM, B2C B2B Retail) and Finance, to challenge the figures and ensure a full consensus on figures, communicate risks and opportunities to the business.
- Participate in the preparation for Monthly Forecast Reviews (MFR) with reviews with Commercial Teams (CRM/Marketing/B2C/B2B/ Finance) to deliver an unbiased and unconstrained view of the demand to support operational planning and the MFR Process with a goal of achieving a recommendation or escalation.
- Identify & frame risks, opportunities and any critical business decisions and escalate up through the MFR process to drive decision-making.
- Initiate and develop strong relationships with cross functional partners to build intimate knowledge of the business and be viewed as a trusted, credible advisor to teams they support.
- Participate and actively contribute to all facets of the MFR/Supply Chain processes and meetings; this includes, weekly Supply Reviews, Integrated Marketing Reviews, CS Service Reviews, etc.
- Taking pro-active measures in minimizing high inventory and in stock issues at DC level.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes to increase efficiency through scalable solutions that improve forecast accuracy and hence customer service levels.
- Analyze demand forecast and generate high value business insights within and beyond DSP.
- Demonstrates value creation though a Lean Enterprise Mindset
- Develop and maintain reports to track and monitor the statistical forecasts, alerts for corrections/improvements and other analytical insights.
- Leverage efficient planning (and related processes) to ensure availability of goods and services as a key competitive advantage and to achieve operational targets.
- Participate in or lead improvements of Planning and Supply Chain performance and cost savings initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to manage portfolio lifecycle, such as new product launches, packaging changes, phase-in/phase-out, and product discontinuation.
- Ensure Item master set up and discontinuation is properly reflected to drive operational processes.
- Ensure service levels for OOH operations in market and address any specific needs in terms of homologation or product extensions. Stock monitoring
- Ensure compliance with Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, Supply Chain & Procurement Policies and Nespresso Internal Control Standards.
What will make you successful…
- Bachelor’s degree preferably with a specialization in Supply Chain/Logistics/Finance Business Administration, Engineering.
- Experience of having worked in a similar capacity in a retail environment with an international company would be an advantage.
- 3+ years of experience
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Forecasting and strong planning experience required.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Must be already based in the UAE.
