Job Title:
Consultant (Proactive Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer)
We are looking for a proactive Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the remote monitoring and maintenance of extensive IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and swift resolution of issues. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our service quality and supporting our clients’ needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring and Maintenance:
• Proactively monitor an extensive IT network (300+ servers, 10+ DBs, 30 network nodes, 15+ applications) using NMS/Syslog tools like SolarWinds.
• Implement and administer monitoring tools, ensuring they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
• Develop and maintain automated scripts for system and software monitoring. Issue Identification and Resolution:
• Identify, report, and resolve system, file, disk, and application problems.
• Provide troubleshooting, repair, and escalation of issues within the IaaS computing environment.
• Resolve application problems following Service Level Requirements (SLR) and escalate when necessary.
• Monitor network performance and utilization, ensuring adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
Reporting and Documentation:
• Generate periodical and on-demand resource consumption reports.
• Maintain detailed event and incident history.
• Document all support cases, ensuring issues are tracked, and resolved, and follow-ups are completed. Client Support and Coordination:
• Provide technical support for problems reported by clients via email, portal, or call. • Liaise with internal and external teams for problem resolution.
• Join bridge calls, manage trouble tickets, and respond to network queries.
• Coordinate with carriers and proactively review client infrastructure, suggesting improvements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field from a reputable university.
• 5 years experience in IT infrastructure monitoring for reputable organizations.
• Technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and applications, including cloud-based solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with 24×7 network operation centers and willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
