Position Overview:
We are looking for a Cloud Security Consultant with a strong background in Cloud Security & DevSecOps. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing secure cloud practices, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our client’s cloud-based systems and applications.
Location: Islamabad, Pakistan
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical security engineering and security expertise in the analysis, assessment, development, and evaluation of security solutions and architectures to secure systems in the cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Design, configuration, and support of cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Private Clouds) combined with knowledge of security principles and techniques on how to secure cloud environments.
- Experience of Cloud Security Tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Centre)
- Experience in Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration testing is a plus
- Experience of SOC is a Plus
- Work within a DevOps security model so that security is automated and elastic across all cloud platforms
- Familiarity with API Security, Container Security, AWS Cloud Security and Orchestration Security
- Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud security, guiding internal teams and clients.
- Design and implement access controls, identity and access management (IAM) policies, and security group configurations for cloud resources.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security into the CI/CD pipeline and software development lifecycle.
- Conduct cloud compliance assessments and ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations.
- Create and maintain security documentation, including policies, standards, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Information Security or Computer Science.
- Minimum 3-6 years of experience in Information Security and at least 2-3 years of Hands-on experience with one of the main cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Experience working with Developers, DevOps, and Engineering teams in a dynamic environment to promote/implement the DevSecOps program throughout the organization.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS Certified Security, CEH, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)) or equivalent.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in cloud security tools and technologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
