HR Business Partner
Job Purpose:
Support the Senior HR Business Partner EU&RF in the provision of professional HR advice to assigned countries based on local legislation and best practice. Provide comprehensive HR services which will include, but is not restricted to, an internal consultancy service on matters such as company policies, staff development, performance matters, employee relations, health & safety to the respective line departments in order to ensure the provision of a quality service and consistency in the implementation of HR policies.
Advise and guide Line Managers and staff on company policies and procedures, including amendments, thus ensuring consistency in implementation.
Partner with the Line Managers in HR activities related to manpower planning, employee promotions, training and development, setting PM objectives, identifying competencies, creating, self-development plans, capability issues and other HR activities within the department.
Provide an effective employee relations service to line managers and staff, ensuring that advice and/or counselling is given as appropriate. This will include advising and participating in disciplinary and grievance matters to ensure equitable treatment of staff, and such matters are handled in line with the applicable policy. Escalate sensitive cases to the Senior HR Business Partner EU & RF and involve Group Legal or appointed external legal advisors. If required, attend labour tribunals hearings to present information in support of the company’s case.
Coach and continuously support managers and supervisors through the Corporate Performance Matters initiative and provide advice on identifying objectives/competencies, ensure that a high standard of quality is maintained.
Plan, coordinate and implement the recruitment and selection process for sourcing candidates to fill vacant positions. Ensure all processes are accomplished in a timely manner and within the set guidelines and policies.
Conduct staff exit interviews, monitoring trends and highlighting these recommendations.
Be actively involved in the deployment and delivery of HR people initiatives and projects. Contribute towards improvement of processes and practices in order to enhance productivity within departments based on local legislation and best practice. This will involve researching and drafting amendments to HR process, highlighting discrepancies, identifying loopholes and ambiguities.
Participate as a team member in Corporate HR based projects and contribute towards developing new HR products, improved processes and systems that will enable HR to be more customer service orientated and progressive.
Maintain relations with various external parties and government bodies with regard to facilitating and expediting satisfactory conclusions to employee issues including obtaining information with regard to legislative changes.
Qualifications & Experience:
University degree and/or a recognised member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (UK) or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 5 years’ generalist experience in Human Resources, at a middle management or supervisor level preferably gained in a large multinational organisation.
Experienced in MS Office Packages and HR systems.
Fluent in written and spoken English. Fluency in another European language would be beneficial.
